Women's Archery Team Demands Full time Physiotherapist

The triumphant Indian women's recurve team, which struck gold at the World Cup Stage IV meet at Poland : "We told the AAI president that the team missed a physio during the World Cup," Bombayla told TOI after reaching Aurangabad in the evening. "Weather conditions keep changing from country to country and our bodies get stiff. It would be great if we get a full-time physio," said the 28-year old.The cold weather in Poland made the archers' shoulders stiff just before the title clash with world champions Korea. And they had no choice but to look after themselves. "We have a physio at the national camp.It would have been nice if he had been there," Bombayla told Malhotra.AAI assistant secretary Gunjan Abrol later informed that AAI has forwarded a request to the Sports Authority of India (SAI) asking it to assign a physio and masseur who can travel with the senior as well as junior teams to international competitions.
