Physiotherapy Council Awareness and Information

Dr Harsh Vardhan : Helming India to Good Health:

The present Honourable Health Minister of India, ENT surgeon, Dr. Harsh Vardhanji is known for his exemplary work. He held the portfolios of Education, Health and Law in the Delhi government between 1993 and 1998.

A piece of legislation that bears his stamp is the Delhi Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy which defines Physiotherapy as:  “Physiotherapy” means Physiotherapeutic system of medicine which includes examination, treatment, advice and instructions to any person preparatory to or for the purpose of or in connection with movement dysfunction, bodily malfunction, physical disorder, disability, healing and pain from trauma and disease, physical and mental conditions using physical agents.

On similar lines everyone should work in all capabilities for a Central Physiotherapy Council with an autonomous status for Physiotherapists in his Tenure.
