Was part of a Professional Expert Committee meeting
regarding the Action Plan for Independent Status and Direct Access of
Physiotherapy in the Clinical Establishment Act. Registering the Physiotherapy
Clinic/Centre under the respective State's Clinical Establishment Act provides
Legal Immunity and Government Registration for a Physiotherapy Clinic/Centre .A
meeting arranged by IAP in this regard was attended by Sanjiv Jha Sir, Sudeep Kale , Anand Misra
Sir, Ketan Bhatikar , Prabhat Ranjan Sir
and Einstein
Jerome. A draft with plenty of documentation was done with emphasis on
Independent Practice, Direct Patient Access to Physiotherapy Centres and taking
Physiotherapy Profession Forward.
The Clinical Establishments Acts of various States under
which a Physiotherapy Clinic/Centre can be Registered:
1. Karnataka Private Medical Establishments Act, 2007.
2. The Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act,1997.
3. The Andhra Pradesh Private Medical Care Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2002
4. The Bombay Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949.
5. The Delhi Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1953.
6. Manipur Homes and Clinics registration Act, 1992.
7. The Nagaland Health care Establishments Act, 1997.
8. The Orissa Clinical Establishments (Control and Regulation) Act, 1990.
9. The Punjab State Nursing Home Registration Act, 1991.
10. The Tripura Clinical Establishment Act, 1976.
11. The West Bengal Clinical Establishments Act, 1950.
12. The Jammu and Kashmir Nursing Homes and Clinical Establishments
(registration and licensing) act, 1963.
13. Madhya Pradesh Clinical Rules, 1973.
14. The Assam Health Establishments Act, 1993.
15. The Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010. (Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Sikkim, and all Union Territories. The states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand have adopted the Act under clause (1) of article 252 of the Constitution)
