“As Rohit was suffering from injuries (finger and shoulder) after the England tour, he couldn’t lift weights, so we focused on car dio. He would first do his rehab exercises for an hour, then do a gym session for another hour with (BCCI physio) Vaibhav Daga, and then I would make him do a few on-field exercises for another 60 minutes. In all, he would do three hours of physical training before the nets began,” said Nayar. “Recently, we did a few pilates sessions at John Gloster’s (former India Physio)’s studio, and that has helped him strengthen his core,” Nayar pointed out.
